Situated near the borders of France and Luxembourg our guesthouse is an ideal starting point for experience-rich  holidays. The picturesque small town of Saarburg (3 km) the historically  important towns of Trier (13 km) and Luxembourg (24 km) as well as the ceramic city Mettlach (22 km) are some of the interesting places to visit.

The world renowed vine growing village of Ayl lies at the foot of Ayler Kupp (the hillside on where the vines are cultivated) and is suround by meadows and woodlands. Well developed cycle tracks along the Saar and Mosel rivers enable hikers and cyclists to enjoy the wonderful panoramic views and natural beauty of our countryside.

For generations, the vinyards and orchards have been worked by our family and demanded lots of hard work and dedication. What produces a good wine? The study of biology, experience, the nature of the soil, the appropiate vinestock, organic fertiliser, good husbandry throughout the growing seasons all leading to the laborious harvesting by hand. Then follows the pressing and fermentation and the constant inspection to completion. Finally the bottling and then the easy bit decorking and drinking. Think of this when you have your next glass. A further branch of industry is the fruit-growing and the distillery. Exellent spirits such as Cor verum brandy and annual awards consider to highest claims of quality.
